SPONSORSHIP

The Rotary Club of Windermere invite you to participate in our Family Charity Walks which will take place on Sunday 21st September 2008 to raise money for a charity of your choice.

Lake Windermere and Claiffe Heights

You will have a choice of one of three walks (3.5 miles, 5 miles & 10 miles). You may walk as an individual for your own favourite charity; you may decide to walk as a group together and raise money for your church, Parent/Teacher group, the local Scouts or Guides or any other charity you choose........the list is endless.


First you need to decide which charity or good cause you wish to support and then register as a walker. Simply complete the Registration Form and return it with your entry fee of £5.00 per person or £10.00 per family.

Next you will need to start getting sponsors - friends and relatives, workmates and acquaintances who will be willing to pay you 50p or £1 per mile for taking part. Write down their name on the Sponsor Sheet so that you have a permanent record. This will come in useful when collecting their sponsorship money.

Then complete the walk on Sunday 21st September 2008, collect the money and Voila! Job Done!! Simply hand over all the money to a responsible person connected with your chosen charity. It's as simple as that! This means that we do not handle any of your sponsorship money.

YOU get the sponsors; YOU collect the cash; YOU pay it in; YOU get the credit

Note: We recommend that you contact the local representative of your chosen charity before the walk, they might give advice on fundraising, supply charity branded sponorship forms and may even give you a Charity T-Shirt to walk in. It would also ensure who and to where you should send the money to once you have completed the walk.
